In 1 Corinthians 4:4-5 (NLT), Paul reminds us of who our judge is, he says: "My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide. 5 So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due"
Even with a "clear conscience" Paul still understood that only God could declare him as "right or righteous". This is the reason a person ought not to think of themselves more highly than they should, because the very thing I'm judging someone about could very well be the thing that I one day struggle with, so I must guard my own life and actions at all times! BOTTOM LINE: Let God be the JUDGE!
STAY STRONG!
